Connect an Azure account
To connect an Azure account, you set up the following details:

The connection that enables optimization.

(Optional) The connection that enables you to enroll virtual machines into Puppet.

The source of spending data for the account.

Account-level tags that describe ownership and other attributes for the account. Resource-level tags are defined by the cloud provider and cannot be modified.
Before you begin
Ensure you have the following:

The Subscription ID
-
The following credentials for each of the Service Principals configured in your Azure environment:

Tenant ID
-
Application ID
-
Application Secret

The following details for the spending data export:
- Storage Account Name

Container Name
-
Resource Group

Begin connecting the account
Take the following steps:

In the navigation pane, click Cloud accounts.

In the Cloud accounts window, go to the Azure tab.

Click Connect Azure account.

Follow the steps in the Connect Azure account wizard.
Steps for connecting an Azure account
Complete the connection
After you complete the connection steps, click Connect account.
If validation is successful, the account is connected and added to the Cloud accounts list for Azure.
Next steps
After the account is connected and its spending data is processed, you can perform the following actions:

Review spending trends and insights.
It can take up to 24 hours for newly connected spending data to be included.
