Enable download reporting for an organization

As an administrator, you can enable the download reporting feature for your organization. With this feature, all members of your organization can view the modules that were downloaded, published, or changed.

If you upload a Puppetfile and enable the syncing functionality, all members can monitor the updates in the Puppet estate in real time. If any member replaces an uploaded Puppetfile with another, the dashboard will be updated accordingly.

To enable the download reporting feature:

1. Log in to Puppet Forge by selecting Log in at the upper right and following the prompts.
2. At the upper right, select the down arrow next to your username to display a menu and select the organization for which you want to enable download reporting.
3. Select Manage download reporting.
4. In the Manage download reporting dialog box, switch on the Download report toggle.
5. Optionally, to add information about previously downloaded modules to the report, take the following actions:
   1. Select Upload configurations.
   2. In the Add previous downloads dialog box, select Browse to locate the Puppetfile that contains the configuration of your current Puppet estate and select Open.
   3. Select Upload and Upload new puppetfile.
      The download report reflects your current Puppet estate. All members of the organization have the same view.
