Group and filter optimizations
You can use search, quick filters, and tag-based filters to focus on specific areas of your environment. Available filters depend on the cloud provider, the metadata that is present, and the account-level tags defined for the account.
On this page:
Group the optimizations
You can organize optimizations into groups for easier navigation in large environments. The list of groups can vary depending on your configuration.
To group results, click a group in the Group by list.
Each group has a header showing how many optimizations it contains and total estimated savings for all optimizations in the group. You can expand and collapse each group to view the optimizations.
Search by resource
To find a specific cloud resource, type its name or identifier in the Search by resource ID or name field.
Apply quick filters
Narrow the list by common categories using quick filters. Available quick filters appear at the top of the Optimizations window.
To apply a quick filter:
-
Click a filter to display the available values.
-
Select one or more values to update the list.
-
Click Apply.
The quick filters you applied appear above the list. They work together with any tag-based filters you apply.
Apply tag-based filters
Narrow the list more precisely using filters based on cloud provider tags, Kubernetes labels, and account-level tags.
To apply a tag-based filter, take the following steps:
-
Select Filters to open the Add filters pane.
-
Open the Select filter list to show the available filters.
You can expand or collapse individual filter types as needed.
-
Select a filter.
You can add up to five filters. Filter types already in use are not selectable. You can edit an existing filter to change its values.
-
Open the Select values list to show the values for the filters
-
Select one or more values. You can add up to 10 values for each filter.
-
Click Done to confirm the values, then click Done again to add the filter.
The filter appears in the Add filters pane. For example:
Region:us-east -
To add another filter, click Add filter and repeat the process.
When you apply multiple filters, the filter rule shows how they combine. For example:
Region:us-eastAND team: isdev -
After you add the tag-based filters, click Apply.
The Add filters pane closes.
The list of optimizations now includes only those that match the applied filters.
The tag-based filters you applied appear above the list as a summary. You can hover over the summary to view the full set of tag-based filters. Tag filters work together with any quick filters you apply.
Edit or delete tag filters
Select Filters to open the Add filters pane. You can make the following changes:
-
To edit a filter, click Edit
, update the filter type or values, click Done, then click Apply. -
To delete a filter, click Delete
then click Apply.
Clear filters
You can remove filters individually from the top of the list, or click Remove all to reset the list.
