Leave an organization

In some cases, you might want to leave an organization. For example, if you resign from your company to join another, you must leave any Puppet Forge organizations that are associated with your original company.

Before you begin

• If you are a regular member, or the organization has another administrator, you can leave immediately.

• If you are the only administrator, assign the administrator role to another member as described in Assign the administrator role, or invite a new administrator as described in Invite a user to become a member. Before you leave, ensure that the invited administrator has accepted the invitation. An organization without an administrator is no longer functional.

Procedure

1. Log in to Puppet Forge by selecting Log in at the upper right and following the prompts.
2. At the upper right, select the down arrow next to your username to display a menu and select the organization that you want to leave.
3. In the Actions column, select Leave organization .
4. To confirm your choice, select Leave organization.

Results

You leave the organization. The organization’s administrators receive a notification.
